What Are The Benefits of Meditating?


Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. It's what Claudia calls her "stress release valve". 


Meditation has scientifically proven to:


  • - reduce blood pressure
  • - slow down breathing
  • - release all the good feel hormones
  • - boost the immune system
  • - improve memory and creativity
  • - calm the nervous system and anxiety
  • - reduce PTSD and depression
  • - increase compassion
  • - improve sleep and feel more peaceful


New to meditation? That's a good thing....


When life is busy, our brains are working super fast to get us through the day navigating around multiple tasks. It's only when we are still and present that our brain waves can change and allow us to let go and be a in state of bliss. When we meditate our brainwaves go into a Theta state which means we can enjoy the benefits listed above. And that is only for starters. When we do this regularly and become more masterful at it, we go into gamma state which is literally a place of euphoria and higher consciousness. 


Firstly, its really important to know that everyone and anyone can meditate. Even those who believe they have the busiest of minds. If you have tried it and not felt successful, do not give up. It just feels new and different. You DO have all the same potentials as everyone else to meditate. If you have a thought when you are meditating - ok, just let it in and then let it out. You do not have to spend your time thinking "don't think" because then you are thinking about not thinking. The point is, be kind to yourself and be patient. Guided meditation is an excellent place to start. 


The Meditation is a 3 step process:


- simple exercises to balance the body and release stagnant energy

- Savitri breathing to instantly calm the mind and body.

    Please reach us at claudia@iampowerful.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

    No chanting is involved. You do not need to say or chant or sing anything. A Guided Meditation means, you can sit back, relax, let go and listen to my words helping you visualise yourself in a peaceful setting.  


    Wear warm and comfy clothes. You will be sitting in a chair so you do not need to worry about any body aches or pains. Your body will be fully supported. You can bring some water but not essential.


     We will do some simple exercises first to release stagnant energy (5mins), then breathing (7mins) and then the Guided Meditation (12mins).  So that's around 25mins of YOU time. With some energy healing after which is optional.  But we say allow 1 hour for the evening in total. 


    If you are doing the Self-Discovery 6 week course then allow 2 hours each time. One hour will be spent on the self awareness workshops followed by the  guide meditation and healing.
